Excellent color and appearance, very well centered for this issue. (top and both side margins - 1.1mm, bottom - 1.3mm). The airplane would leave from Botwood, Newfoundland and go to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. John's General Post Office up to evening of November 26, 1921. Maximum quantity able to be handled would be 5000 one ounce letters. Major Cotton was the pilot for this flight. A special stamp that costs 35¢ will be affixed to each letter presentation after 09:00 on November 16. The stamp chosen to be overprinted was the 35¢ Cabot issue of 1897 that had an iceberg image.

The initial order was for 5000 overprinted stamps. These stamps were brought into use November 16 and were affixed by St. Due to public demand another order of 9000 was printed. The layout was a 5 x 5 pane of 25. As has been recorded and documented the overprint type had six varieties of the overprint.
